She was born in 1978 in France and is the youngest daughter of Ant\u00f3nio Victorino D\u2019Almeida and Sybil Harl\u00e9.\n\nIn 1986, she began violin lessons at the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Musical dos Amigos das Crian\u00e7as with In\u00eas Barata, with whom she studied for eleven years, completing the 8th grade at the same school under the guidance of Leonor Prado.\n\nShe graduated in 2003 from the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra, in the class of Agn\u00e8s Sarosi. After completing her degree, she also studied under Ant\u00f3nio Anjos.\n\nThroughout her training, she had the opportunity to attend several advanced courses and masterclasses with renowned violinists and pedagogues such as James Dahlgreen, Gerardo Ribeiro, Galina Turtchaninova, Gilles Apap, and Maxim Vengerov.\n\nIn 2004, she attended and completed the first year of orchestral conducting at the Higher Academy of Orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a violinist, she performed regularly with several national orchestras, notably the Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica Portuguesa, Orquestra Gulbenkian, Orquestra Filarm\u00f3nica Portuguesa, and Orquestra Sinfonietta de Lisboa, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the field of teaching, alongside the classes she gives at the Conservatory, she has led several masterclasses both nationally and internationally, notably at the Escola Portuguesa de Maputo in 2011 and 2012, the Oficina de M\u00fasica de Curitiba in 2013, and in the city of Praia in 2017. She has also served on the jury of several national competitions on numerous occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a violinist, she was a founding member of the Quarteto Lopes-Gra\u00e7a from 2005 to 2014. She performed frequently in major concert halls in Portugal and abroad, with notable appearances in Andorra in 2008 and in Brazil in 2013, at the Oficina da M\u00fasica in Curitiba, as well as in Sorocaba and Bras\u00edlia.\n\nWith this quartet, she recorded the CD *M\u00fasica Portuguesa para Quarteto* in 2008, featuring works by Ant\u00f3nio Victorino D\u2019Almeida and Fernando Lopes-Gra\u00e7a, receiving the SPA Authors Award for this recording.\n\nShe is currently the violinist and founding member of the Trio Rumos Ensemble, created in 2015 and considered the Portuguese chamber group with the most extensive international career, having performed in more than 20 countries across four continents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Composition has occupied a more prominent place in her artistic career since 2016, and today her music is regularly performed and recorded publicly in Portugal and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this field, she began her career by winning the prize for best musical proposal in the competition \u201cTeatro na D\u00e9cada 97.\u201d She also composed the music for several theatre plays staged at the Instituto Portugu\u00eas da Juventude, the Teatro da Comuna, and the Teatro da Trindade.\n\nIn 2006, she composed the soundtrack for the documentary *Cartas a uma Ditadura*, directed by In\u00eas de Medeiros, which was screened in several cinemas in Portugal and abroad, as well as the soundtrack for the short film *Stroke* by Sofia de Botton.\n\nIn 2014, she wrote the soundtrack and screenplay for the short film *A Carruagem*, directed by Jo\u00e3o Vasco, which received an honourable mention in the Inatel Video Competition and won the 2015 Grand Prix Cin\u00e9rail in Paris. In 2023, she composed the soundtrack for the feature film *Mi Hermano Ali*, directed by Paula Palacios.\n\nSeveral of her works are annual compulsory pieces in various competitions. She was composer-in-residence at the Festival Grav\u00edssimo! editions of 2017, 2018, and 2019, and composer-in-residence of the Orquestra de C\u00e2mara de Cascais e Oeiras in 2018.\n\nAs part of the Portugal\u2013France Cross Season, her Piano Concerto Op. 78 was premiered in February 2022 at the Philharmonie de Paris by pianist Bruno Belthoise, with the Orchestre de Picardie under the direction of conductor Michael Cousteau, as well as her work *Nazar\u00e9* at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es, also in Paris, performed by the Orquestra Filarm\u00f3nica Portuguesa under conductor Osvaldo Ferreira. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2019, she orchestrated the opening theme of the RTP news programme *Telejornal*, performed by the Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica Portuguesa, a project that won the silver award at the \u201cMarketing, Self-Promotion and Innovation \u2013 Media and Advertising Award.\u201d\n\nIn 2020, she composed the idents for RTP2, which have been on air since 25 April of that year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2019, she released the double CD *A Sombra dos Sentidos*, featuring chamber works of her own composition, under the label AvA Musical Editions, supported by SPA and GDA.\n\nIn 2021, she released the album *Trilogia*, featuring three concertante works with soloists Janete Santos (flute), Joana Cipriano (viola), Ana Maria Pinto (soprano), and Gilles Apap (violin), under the direction of conductor Pedro Neves.\n\nHer third album, titled *Importuna Raz\u00e3o*, featuring three chamber works, is expected to be released in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a composer, she was awarded the Harvey Philips Award in 2019 in Iowa (USA) for her work *Contos&amp;Improvisos* for tuba and piano. In 2023, she won the first edition of the Pr\u00e9mio Internacional de Composi\u00e7\u00e3o Darcos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ocupou cargos de gest\u00e3o, designadamente a Dire\u00e7\u00e3o do Conservat\u00f3rio Nacional enquanto adjunta (2017-2019), membro do Conselho de Administra\u00e7\u00e3o do Opart E.P.E (2019-2022) e foi Presidente da AD EDIT em 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a>Anne has dedicated a significant part of her activity to defending and promoting artists\u2019 and authors\u2019 rights and is, in fact, a founding member of AD EDIT \u2013 the Association of Music Score Publishers and Composers.\n\nAs a performer, she is represented by Gest\u00e3o dos Direitos dos Artistas, and as an author she is represented by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores, of which she is a cooperative member.
